We love active holidays. That is why we like to take our mountain bikes with us on holiday. Last year we went cycling in Rheinland-Pfalz. Not far from home, but a very beautiful destination.
We always take quite a lot of stuff with us on holiday. In addition to our mountain bikes, which we install on the back of the car, we also bring our hiking shoes, lots of (sports) clothing and camping gear. The car is so full. That is why we decided to purchase a rooftop tent. Now we don't have to cram a tent in the car, because we can easily transport it on the roof.
We were lucky that the weather was lovely. Ideal for camping. The advantage of a rooftop tent, in addition to being easy to transport, is that it sleeps a lot more comfortably than a "normal" tent. You are not lying on a hard, uneven surface. That is very welcome after cycling 50 km.
