The total weight of the rooftop tent plus roof racks must not exceed the car's manufacturer-prescribed roof load limit; the roof load limit is a dynamic maximum roof load, which means the roof load while driving. When the vehicle is stationary, roof racks can handle about four to five times the weight. Fjordsen rooftop tents are lightweight—between 50 and 75 kg—and fit almost every car.

If you've chosen a Fjordsen rooftop tent suited for you, the next step is to install it onto your roof. To install the Fjordsen rooftop tent you'll need the standard roof bars for your car. Ask your garage if you have any questions about this. If the roof bars are on the car, you put the roof tent on top of it with two people and attach it to the roof racks. We have made several instructional videos to show you step by step how easy this is.
